From 27 June to 15 July, Riga will host the European Bridge Championships EuroBridge 2026 for the first time, bringing together more than 1,000 players, their coaches, referees, supporters, and federation representatives – approximately 2,000 participants in total from 32 countries. From 27 June to 7 July, the 57th European National Teams Bridge Championship will take place at the Riga International Exhibition Centre, Ķīpsala, followed by the 30th RTU European Youth Bridge Championship from 9 to 15 July, which will carry the Riga Technical University name for the first time.

“EuroBridge 2026 in Riga will not only promote bridge and strengthen mind-sport traditions, but also provide a significant economic boost to the city – participants will spend over 16,000 nights, visit hotels and restaurants, and explore Riga’s culture, green spaces, and social life. Organizing an event of this scale is a substantial contribution to Latvia – it will support tourism development, supplement the city and national budgets, and enhance Latvia’s international recognition,” says Kārlis Rubins, Board Member of SIA “Bridža Akadēmija,” European Vice-Champion in team competitions, and World Vice-Champion in mixed pairs.

The EuroBridge2026 is organized in cooperation with the European Bridge League and the Latvian Bridge Federation, with support from the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia, the Riga City Council, RTU (Riga Technical University), Agni, Akvedukts, Flora Bakery, Latvijas Gāze, OlyBet, Skrīveru Saldumi, Tērvete Food, and European Hit Radio.

EuroBridge 2026: Discover and Learn the Basics of Le Petit Bridge

EuroBridge 2026: Discover and Learn the Basics of Le Petit Bridge

Bridge is far more than just a card game – it is a strategic mind sport that enhances logical thinking, planning, focus, and teamwork. Playing bridge helps children learn to make independent decisions, anticipate opponents’ moves, and communicate effectively, building vital skills that are useful in all areas of life. At its core, bridge is also a fantastic family game, allowing parents and children to spend quality time together, strengthen relationships, and share memorable experiences.

To inspire a new generation of players, Latvia actively promotes Le Petit Bridge. Specially designed for children from the age of 6, this program introduces the basic principles of the game in a simplified, engaging format.

During EuroBridge 2026 at the Riga International Exhibition Centre (Ķīpsala), on July 4, 5, 11 and 12, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to discover Le Petit Bridge through interactive activities and learn the fundamentals of the game firsthand.
